Who better to inspire us than each other? Brandon Stanton takes amazingly vivid, authentic, earthy and fun photos of the denizens of New York. A great destination for ideas, inspirations or a pure sense of awe at the beauty of mankind. Check out Humans of New York.
Hi there! I know it’s been a while since my last entry. My days have been consumed by a collection of new pieces that I am launching shortly.
Here’s a sneak preview of what I’ve been working on. This fall I am inspired by rich, vibrant, earthy colors and organic forms. Quite a lot of my pieces are modern interpretations of ancient artisan jewelry (think civilizations like the Sumerians and the Egyptians). They are sophisticated pieces with a primitive quality that I hope will warm your heart and spirit!
Just returned from a beautiful, intimate and fun wedding in California. Watching one of my best friends walk down the aisle and say her vows had me all choked up. 🙂
Speaking of fallin’ in love, as we transition into autumn (August is almost gone!), the perfect accessory, in my opinion, is that weightless, colorful piece of scarf! They’re light yet pack so much personality into your assemble. Here are a few on my “to get” list:
Volga River & the Caspian Sea Silk Scarf, oropopo
Porcupine Quills Scarf, prettypennydesigns
Emilie Red Geometric Scarf with leather loop, tzunuum
Neon Paisley Scarf, Anthropologie
India Parisian Crepe Silk Scarf, Onikann
This weekend was so much fun! We paid Coney Island, also known as Six Flags in our backyard, a visit.
It was so exhilarating to walk along the boardwalk and then within Luna Park at 10PM. The night was breezy and cool. The entire ground was lit up with colorful neons. I felt like a little kiddo again.
I worked up the guts to get on the Soaring Eagle. We were flat on our stomachs and doing impossible twists and turns. I think the whole time I screamed “I’m going to die!!!” And then I wanted to do it again after I got off. 🙂
Nathan’s, why do you have to list all your calorie counts? Your food is so greasy and to die for!
The coolest wheel ever. It opened back in 1920 and is still going strong- 30 million riders later.
